this mess

As I try to explore America before it became what it has become today, I find many obstacles in my path.  I tried to find the true Declaration of Independence.  I tried to find the writings of Martin Luther King Jr. and Frederick Douglas.  I try and try, but only to find that these writings are less available than finding out what men want in bed, or which lipstick to use.  I pose this question to all those who read this.  If you can send me text of the writings our forefathers and any civil rights activists since then...I will send you $10 (first come, first served).  Either add a comment to this entry, or email me, or call my phone at 781-986-4394.  That's right folks...there is my phone number.  Feel free.

You can find a copy of the Constitution or Bill of Rights in any good sized encyclopedia.

You can find James Madison's 'Federalist Papers' at the Boston Public Library. Any resident of the Commonwealth can get a Library Card.

Martin Luther King: A Call to Conscience: The Landmark speeches of Martin Luther King by Kris Shepard. (Audio Tape)

A Taste of Hope: The Essentiel Writings of Martin Luther King by Himself.

A Narrative of the Life of Fredick Douglass: An American Slave: by Himself.

You can find the last three on Amazon.com
