What is this anarchy I speak of?

There is a group of people in Boston, as I am sure there are in many other places, that are anarchists. They believe in a classless, stateless society…as do I. Now whether it is they, or the media that is giving anarchists a bad name, I am not sure. So I want to tell you what anarchy is not. Anarchy is not bombs, save those for the military. Anarchy is not chaos, save that for nature. Anarchy is not disorder, save that for Congress. Anarchy is not a fad, a club, or even a civil rights movement. But the ultimate civil rights movement would lead to anarchy. Anarchy simply means not allowing somebody to control your life, however minor it may seem. It’s definition is simply: a society with no government. It does not even mean “every man for himself.“ It does not change you as a human being. Your innermost desires will still be there. Your need for food and water, your need to feel loved, your need for sex and your need for fun will all remain. What else will remain is your desire to be social. Despite how it may slow you down, even today you will still take the time to help someone in need. Maybe not as much as you should, but it is not human nature that has made helping people a bothersome act. It is the fear of losing your job if you are late, the need to hold on to money you dearly worked for, or the fear that you will help somebody who wants to take advantage of you. Someone who might hurt you. Real anarchists know why those fears exist today.

Real anarchists understand that we are living within a system that exploits you and encourages people to take advantage of each other. We understand that when your feelings are suppressed, they build up inside you until you explode. We understand that when you are discriminated against unfairly, you will begin to resent the world and seek revenge. We understand that you did not choose your parents and therefore don’t have the same opportunity as another who was lucky enough to be born into a privileged family. We also understand that your true human spirit (the one you were born with) is rearranged as you grow up by money and religion. We feel that we know of heaven on earth, but that it seems unfathomable based on the beliefs force-fed to you from early childhood. We also don’t need blind faith to find this “heaven” because it is logical accounts that lead us to our beliefs.

Don’t label people as bad, as evil, or as anarchists. What I am trying to do is show you how this system is hurting us. I am trying to show you the root of the problem instead of offering the solutions to the symptoms. Much like taking pain killers for your headache, making more laws to stop crime will never solve anything. Instead, realize that headaches come from a real problem such as: Too much stress, too much noise, or a battering of your skull. Instead realize that crime comes from: Too few opportunities to survive, too much being taken advantage of, or too much coercion being driven into your skull. “What are you really good at?” “Well sorry, we can’t market that.” “Here, why don’t you work this job (that you will hate forever) because that is the only way you can survive.” We all have a contribution to this society but this system won’t allow it.

If it is so important to get a job done, why do we have unemployed people who are willing and able to work? So the owner of the company can make $5 million a year, instead of $4.5 million? If it is so important to find a solution, why are there bright people working monkey jobs? Can’t we feed them long enough for them to work their magic? If it is so important to instill morals in this country, why isn’t there a Christian-only cable service? Aren’t there enough Christians to support one? Can you guess the common theme?

Before I can give you the solutions, you must ask yourself all of these questions. You must realize that things are not right. You’ll have to understand why we humans have worked thousands of years to even be this free. Then, I can offer you some solutions, but more importantly you can take part in finding the solutions. It may seem like you don’t have enough time to worry about it now, but if we worry about it now, our free time will open up immensely in the future. You already mortgage your future as it is. Why is this any different? We need to realize the dreams of some of our greatest freedom-fighters, and also realize that somehow those freedom-fighters are the ones that keep getting gagged.

When you talk to your friends, families, and neighbors, and you find yourself complaining about the way life is, remember these things. We are not going to accomplish anything by bombing the white house. We could put plenty of homeless people in there. We are not going to accomplish anything by shooting government officials. They’re will always be a replacement, and then we will have to sacrifice more freedoms “for the good of our country.” I’ll offer you a few simple solutions, but mind you what we learned about brainstorming in elementary school. We can refuse to work until everybody has the choice to send money into the government. No more direct deductions, tell them when they start working for you, you will pay them. That’s how we live, right? Don’t give your money to anybody that claims to be working for your interests without seeing exactly how they plan to spend your money. Don’t pay a man who says great words for a national TV audience, pay the man who does his work while being displayed on national TV. Most importantly, realize that the son of the most wealthy man in the country will do exactly, if not less work than the women on welfare living in poverty. Treat him as such.

Now if only there was a market for freedom-fighting.

Jay, would't it be unrealistic to assume that all people could live in a classless, statleless society with out injurying and oppressing the weaker people within this society. It doesn't have a chance of working. It is not logical.  You would have a strong sect of people and a weaker sect . Guess what would happen? Talking is good and discussion is better, but just to decide that everyone should be the same would not work. There will always be the ones that want to have more and the more they have the greedier they become. So, then we are once again back to square one.  There is no honor now like in the olden days.  I think the Native American's had a great system of living. They had honor, courage, pride, and they had rules that all were happy to live under. They all took care of each other. If you read some of their history, you will see that if a womans husband died his brother would take her into his home, and take care of her. Would we do this for ours here and now?? How many would open their hearts and homes for someone?? We are too far gone for anything as simple as one for all and all for one. It just couldn't work. It is a great idea and it makes you think, but in the end, there would always be the bad ones and the corrupters. There will never be a paradise on earth. NOt as long as men/women rule it.  Good thoughts , sometihing to think about.

my point is bright star, is a governmental and class filled society protecting us?  It is government, and a heirarchal society that has caused greed.  When one man tries to prey on the weak, he will will be opposed by all of us.  If you were shipwrecked with 20 people, and you found your way to an island, and one of you suddenly tried to lay claim to ownership of the island, the other 19 people would throw that one into the sea.
Greed is not a human trait, it is a learned trait...caused by the system we live in...isn't it time we found a new day?
also...I appreciate your comments bright star...please email me so we can talk...I won't expose you.  I just want to hear more of your ideas.

I can see your point and you have high ideals and there are a few other people that feel as we do, but not enough to make a difference. From the time you are  young you see and hear what is going on around you. If the jones neighbors are rich they are considered friends of worth but if they would happen to be poor than they are looked down on by all and everyone. So from young we are taught not to be poor to do all that we can to achieve a state where we can be afluent and not have to be looked down upon. you stated about an island with 10 people on it and one wants to take over and the others would throw him into the sea. Maybe, but maybe not. If the man were the strongest and biggest, who would challenge him?? Who would be brave enough especially if this man were the only one that was able to find the food and water and build the huts and the small necessary things to make your life more comfortable. Dont you believe that the others would be grateful that this person decided to take charge and take the worry out of their hands? This is what is wrong with the society we dont want to do the work invovled . Oh people open their mouths and complain and moan and groan but if you said they could have the job, they would shut up and sit down and not say another word. ON this island there would emerge a strong person and the rest would follow like sheep because this person would tell them that he would take care of them and they have nothing to fear. How convienent how easy to take over. I asked these people that are really into these reality shows if they believed that these people were there on that island all by themselves. Oh they said of course that is the whole idea. I laughed, and I asked them who was behind the cameras and who brought in the electiricty to run these cameras and who fed these people and where did they sleep and how did they all get there? What is someone got terribly ill or critically wounded? No one there to help?

part two:
They couldn't answer me. These people really believe in their minds that all these people are all by themselves on this island and no one else is there. MY point in telling you this is that even in this so called show there is alot of peer pressure and pushing and shoving for top dog. To win the grand prize  have read your comments and I can understand where you are coming from but here again you have stated a situation of people being stranded on an island and one trying to take over and claim the island with the others revolting. It would happen simply because the strongest of the group and then the second strongest and so on and so forth would take their place in this new society. The strongest would be the leader and the others would follow simply because it is so much easier to let someone else make the decisions and take the blame it things dont work out. Look at these ridiculous reality shows.  I just love this phrase. I sit and listen to people talk about these people "stranded" on an island with no food or help and they have to live. I asked one of the people, "How do they tape this show?" "Where are the cameras and the people with the lights that show at night and who feeds these people taping this show and who is there making sure no one getsthey will do anything to anyone. Nothing is scared and anything goes.

part 3
Yes, Greed is learned. But we as the adults teach our children how to be greedy. We tell them that they have to have alot of material things to be happy and we buy them everything that their little hearts want without realizing the monsters we are breeding. When they are grown they to will do as they were taught to do and it will go on and on for all time.  If you look at the kids in the malls today, you will see that they have to have certain shirts and shoes and jeans so that they are accepted into the group of friends that they feel are the cool ones.  Your theories are well founded and they sound good, but in reality they are not workable. Only my opinion.

Once again brighstar...it is this system that taught the greed, therefore of course the people on Survivor Island push themselves to the top because there is only ONE PRIZE.  And as for the biggest strongest man?  can he hold off the other 19 people?  and if he is the only one who can find food, he's gonna be working himself to the bone unless he shares his secret with the others.  No one man does anything alone.  The only thing one person can do alone is relieve himself(or herself)  Even thinking today requires an understanding of some sort of language, usually taught to you by your parents.  You can't take a picture by yourself unless you discover and mine the metals necessary to build a camera, mine the materials necessary to build the tools that will build the camera, and so many other facets of life.  Nothing can be accomplished without the vast knowledge of humankind as a whole.  Therefore everything accomplished belongs to everyone.  As far as greed and everybody wanting more...if we cut out the profiteers we could produce enough for everybody to have everything...you want a big screen TV?  Well that's all we make now because everything is free.  You want a nice car? Why make a crappy car?  Same goes for food and shelter.  It's radical I know...and as soon as people understand this, we can begin working on how to bring it about...
